Final Scene Dev announced that Foreign Sun is releasing on April 21. This 2D choice-driven action RPG is going to be available for the PC via Steam and the Nintendo Switch.

Foreign Sun was initially developed to serve as a port of 2020's Biomass. Back then it was titled as The Meridian Gate. However, the project grew in scope and from there became its own game. It had redrawn art and a new design in order to expand the world, choice, and consequence that users loved in Biomass. The game is a good choice not only to new players but also those who’ve already made the pilgrimage to the Eternal Lighthouse before.

A Dynamic Adventure

The game invites players to an interconnected world where they encounter various factions, each one having their own agenda. They'll have to use their wits to learn different ways to traverse the sinking city. In return they discover many possible outcomes for its denizens depending on the actions and choices made.

Players can shift allegiances to different factions when convenient. For example, once they get their apparel, players can fraternize even with previous enemies. Doing this gives them access to valuable information related to the quest, or reveals truths about the greater world.

They also have to commune with what lies beyond the shadows of the lighthouse, and acquire special abilities to help you navigate the sinking city. But the power to alter your form and traverse the world may have a heavy price.

Combat

When it comes to combat, players face enemies who use beam wielding armaments. The best option is to clash swords with them to break their posture and punish them when exposed. However, not all attacks are clashable. There are enemies that need to be brought down the old fashioned way. Players can combine their sword combos with heavy weaponry to really lay on the damage.

Players should be happy to know that almost all projectiles can be deflected or even reversed. When the situation calls for it, always try to do so and in return they can recover stamina and build their health charge. Some enemies mix up between clashable and non clashable attacks. Be sure to learn the patterns of enemies to expose them and break their posture.

Foreign Sun is now available to wishlist on Steam. Those who already own Biomass on Steam get free access to the game upon release. Pre-orders are open on the Nintendo Switch and are being offered at a 10% discount.
