Perfect Random announced that the full version of SULFUR is officially out. This modern old-school action-adventure title has players outsmart enemies, find treasure, improve weapons, and harness powers.
The release of the full version comes after two years of being in Early Access. Version 1.0 brings with it a lot of new content. In a post, the development team shared that they made sure to optimize and polish the game so that it can be available on "all current-gen and last-gen consoles."
New Content
So what new content can players look forward to? For starters, they can now experience the complete Enchantments system, with the full combined magic matrix. It includes five new combined enchantments which are Scroll of Snowman Head, Scroll of Water Bomb, Scroll of Mud Ball, Scroll of Evil Seed, and Scroll of Teslacold.
There's now a Quest Log that serves as a digital tracker of the current quests. Being the full version, there is now the complete progression across SULFUR from beginning to end. However, the team revealed that there are no new areas for now.
Finally, the team said that with SULFUR now out of Early Access, the base price has been increased to $29.99.
Future Plans
The studio shared that they know a lot of players are hoping to have a multiplayer feature. While it won’t be available for now, the studio did say that they may work on it and release this feature in the future.
For now though, the goal seems to be releasing free updates to support the game so that players can enjoy new firearms, improvements, and even other fun treats.
FPS with RPG
SULFUR is an action-adventure title that offers first person shooter mechanics and combines it with role-playing elements. To survive the brutal and intense combat, players need to plan ahead, outsmart enemies, and make their way across a world of dark creatures and cunning evil. THey'll need to make use of playful and tactile weaponry while also coming up with unique builds by combining weapons, gear, tools, and enchantments to suit their playstyle.
SULFUR is available for the PC via Steam along with consoles PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
