A new update has been released for Game of Thrones: Kingsroad. It opens up the Crow’s Nest for everyone to explore. Then there’s also the new Raid mode where players are challenged to face a sea monster.
The Crow’s Nest
The new update introduces the Crow’s Nest along with its surrounding lands. This new area is something that players can explore and is located south of the Stormlands.
Stannis Baratheon, who’s the brother of Robert Baratheon and claimant to the Iron Throne, is preparing to sail North to answer the call of the Night's Watch. However, it appears that some of the mercenaries he has hired to replenish his armies have betrayed their allegiance and have now taken the castle of Griffin's Roost. Unwilling to risk leaving his lands in this vulnerable state, Stannis is now asking players to help break the siege and learn who is behind these sellsword turncoats.
The opening of the Crow’s Next also means that players can now experience new content in the form of quests, sub-quests, ruins, and bounties, to name a few. By the way, there’s a new ferocious beast known as the “Shadowcat,” which stands between players and their journeys across Westeros.
The Raid
The update adds a new content mode known as the Raid. The first Raid boss is the “Kraken” and can be found in the north of the Sunset Sea. As depicted in A Song of Ice and Fire novels, this creature is large enough to wrap around even the most formidable ships and then drag them down into the dark depths of the sea. Basically, most of those who come face to face with one such creature don't live long enough to tell the tale.
This new mode encourages players to team up and engage the Kraken in combat while onboard a ship. To defeat this legendary denizen of the depths, players need to work together and master the unique mechanics.
Seasonal Updates
Players can also look forward to Seasonal Updates that include Wormwalk, Beyond the Wall Expeditions, Bounties, Sub-quests, and Events. Keep an eye out for new activities across all of Westeros.
