Birchwood Games announced the demo for Gladiator Immortal is now available on Steam. It's going to be available for a total of four weeks.
Gladiator Immortal is a turn-based fantasy Medieval Gladiator Roguelike game where players manage a team of warriors who fight for the entertainment of the gods. They'll need to build up the town, hire and level up warriors, find powerful weapons and armor, learn and develop new skills and win favor with the gods and Immortality.
Tactical Turn-Based Combat
Gladiator Immortal has players fight across Medieval Gladiator Leagues in Arenas for each of the Gods Domains. Each God has a unique Arena, traps, surprises, creatures and attitude. Some Gods though are easily bored and so easy to provoke their wrath. Those who win battles and fight well are rewarded by the Gods. Players can also fight against other Gladiator schools with creatures summoned by the Gods or league bosses also need to be beaten if a Gladiator school is to go up a league.
Each God in particular has a specific domain type and then within these domains they build arenas. There are those who are based in the clouds while others reside deep underground or even in swamps. Each arena features a set of modifiers with some depending on the arena domain while others are chosen by the whim of the gods.
Manage and Develop the Town
In addition to managing the Gladiator school, players also need to do the same to the town where the school is located. Buildings can be levelled up to offer more options for the Gladiators.
Players can buy items from traders, recruit new Gladiators or send their Gladiators to relax in the Inn. Wounded Gladiators may be treated in the monastery or taken to the shrine, where they can pray to the Gods for aid. Warriors that are killed are sent to the mortuary where they may either be laid to rest or in the case of the greatest brought back to life using the powers and artefacts of the Gods.
Take note that each building in the town may be upgraded as players progress and accumulate wealth and power. Each building brings different aspects to managing the Gladiators.
