Global Content Alignment for Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is Now Live

Season 3 update adds more new content for players to enjoy.

Netmarble announced that the Game of Thrones: Kingsroad Global Content Alignment server is now live. With this, players can now experience sweeping updates that include, among others, redesigned progression systems, evolved combat mechanics, improved social and multiplayer features, earlier access to co-op content, and stunning new visuals.

The launch also introduces the highly anticipated new story content. These include the story content from the Casterly Rock update, which is now available for the first time to Western players. In addition, players can travel to the ancestral home of the Lannisters and face new challenges while encountering some familiar–but not necessarily friendly–faces.

With the Global Content Alignment server now open, players of the original Game of Thrones: Kingsroad can retain their existing characters and gameplay on the current Western Server. Meanwhile, those who want to experience the redesigned gameplay systems on the Global Content Alignment server are invited to a comprehensive reward program as part of the transition. It's based on both character progression and cumulative purchase history on the Western Server.

Season 3 Content

More content is being made available for players with the Season 3 update. The “Trial of the Stormlands Bannermen: Rain and Flame” for instance sees the bannerman houses of House Fell, House Connington, and House Morrigen becoming available for players to side with as they ultimately form a united front to oppose the spread of the R'hllor Red Heretic Priest faction.

There are also personal ranking competitions along with various open-field exploration activities. Players are also invited to a journey where they can claim a new “Breath of Balerion” artifact, a remnant from the day Harrenhal fell. This artifact is believed to be fused slag left behind when Aegon the Conqueror and his dragon, Balerion the Black Dread, set Harrenhal ablaze during the Targaryen Conquest.

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad invites players to explore the seven kingdoms that make up Westeros. They get to learn more about the vivid landscapes, massive cities, backwater towns, untamed wilderness, and even the people that inhabit them. Players can also roam on the different iconic regions and locations. They can watch the splendor that is King’s Landing and observe the frigid unease of Castle Black.

Overall, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is a story-driven action-adventure RPG that brings the world of Westeros to life with remarkable detail and never-before seen scale. Get the game on Steam now.
