Goblin’s Die is Coming Soon to Steam

Potion8 announced that Goblin’s Die is launching soon to Steam. This co-op action-adventure RPG has players take on the role of goblin workers who have been sent to recover the shattered pieces of a mystical artefact. They'll have to scavenge, improvise gear, and drag everything back to the expanding Hive.

In a statement, Creative Director Janne Kodisoja shared that the game is able to "flip the traditional RPG power fantasy on its head" since rather than using legendary heroes, players instead play a bunch of goblins trying to survive.

A Quirky Fantasy Tale

The game focuses on the Hive where worker goblins need to be a certain height to serve in the army of the Goblin Leader. They'll be given the standard issue loincloth and assigned to their first toiling duty.

As a goblin worker, the number one task that players have to keep in mind is that they have to make the new Hive thrive like in the glory days. Since humans seem to have left a ton of useful crap just lying around, it's important to grab everything they find. They'll also need to look for all kinds of materials that can be used for the. That means mine, chop, and gather. Then there are the organs of fallen enemies which can often make fine cuisine.

For the Hive

While sharing loot is optional, it can help achieve common goals. All valuables and little shiny things found can be contributed to the Goblin Leader. It's important to contribute for the good of the Hive. Not to worry since the Quartermaster can provide everything players may need. The new facilities and goods are sure to make the daily grind just a bot more tolerable.

Dominate the Neighbors

In Goblin's Die, players need to pioneer new and uncharted lands with great caution. They may not be at the bottom of the food chain, but it's getting pretty close. In additions, neighbors are getting uglier by the minute.

This brings us to the game's secondary objective. Players have to make sure that they won't for Skiggarath’s sake. That's because mortuary expenses have reached their all-time high and it appears the Goblin Leader is running low on workers as it is.
