Cheesemaster Games and No More Robots announced that Spirittea is coming out on November 13. It's going to be available for the PC through Steam along with consoles Xbox and the Nintendo Switch. This rural life sim is inspired by the Studio Ghibli classic Spirited Away and the iconic life sim Stardew Valley.
The game follows a writer who heads to the countryside in order to clear their head and hopefully find inspiration for the next novel. One day, the protagonist accidentally drinks from an old mystical teapot and starts to see the spirit world overlap with reality. Fortunately, there's Wonyan, a nuisance cat spirit and a faithful guide. Wonyan shows the writer there are spirits that need saving and how there are out there. It also hands the writer keys to an old bathhouse where these same spirits can stay and relax.
Save the Spirits
In the game, players need to help spirits solve their problems. These can include giving the spirits some spirit noodles and all the way to helping them find their lost treasure. Now it's not aqll spirits as players need to also make friends with the locals. Just keep in mind that these townspeople has their own schedules, likes, dislikes, and even hobbies.
Prepare the Bath
One part of the gameplay focuses on the bathhouse, which is an ancient spirit building that's hidden up in the mountain. Players need to prepare and make sure that it's filled up with customers. It's not going to be easy since there's a lot of things to do. For starters, players need to make sure that the bathhouse and even the towels are all clean.
This being a bathhouse, water plays an important role and players have to make sure that it's perfect for each spirit. To do that they'll need to find the right temperature and the correct mix of elixirs. Remember that each spirit that their preferences and favorite recipes.
Speaking of preferences, each spirit has other spirits that they like best. Of course, there are also spirits that they others don't enjoy spending time with. What this means is players need to plan carefully especially when leading spirits to their baths.
