Here’s What Grounded 2 is Offering Players

Obsidian Entertainment and Eidos-Montréal invite you to a new adventure when Grounded 2 releases on June 29. This sequel is set in Brookhollow Park, which is a fictional suburban park having a visual design inspired by the early 1990s.

Grounded 2 continues to core gameplay mechanics first introduced in the first title Grounded. Players once again take on the role of children who have been shrunk to the size of insects. This time though they're now in a vastly expanded environment. They can try to survive along or face the challenges cooperatively. It's a place where everyday objects and locations have become dangerous and unfamiliar. Players have to gather resources, craft weapons and armor, and construct shelters while at the same time fight against aggressive creatures and survive the environmental hazards.

New Features

This being a sequel there are new features available especially for those familiar with the first title. For example, there's the Omni-Tool, which can be considered as the "one tool to rule them all." It has the axe, hammer, shovel, and wrench. They've been streamlined into a smart solution and not only simplifies builds but also frees up the backpack.

Players can look forward to meeting new bugs like the cockroach. They're also invited to explore areas that include toppled ice cream carts, snack shacks, and forgotten corners of the park. Evolved combat is another new thing. Players can now dodge and face smarter enemies. There's also new group dynamics that make sure each encounter is more tactical and intense.
