Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era Gets Support from the One of the OGs

Hooded Horse and Unfrozen announced that Jon Van Caneghem is now a creative advisor for Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era. This is exciting news considering that he is one of the original creators of the Might and Magic series.

Caneghem served as the founder of New World Computing back in 1983 and with it helped found the Might and Magic series through the release of Might and Magic: Book One in 1986. His videogame career has spanned decades and he has been involved with the likes of NCSoft, EA, and Trion, to name a few. He was inducted into the Computer Gaming World Hall of Fame in 2004 for Strategy and Role-Playing games. For this upcoming title, he'll be assisting the developers at Unfrozen with game design, worldbuilding, and other creative matters regarding Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era.

Talking about this latest collaboration, Caneghem shared in a statement that it has been a pleasure for him to see that the world he "built all those years ago" continues to thrive. He went on to say that he's glad to get the chance to contribute again. Meanwhile, Unfrozen CEO Denis Fedorov said that they're pleased that Caneghem accepted the proposal to be "an honorary creative advisor for Unfrozen."
