Chomski Games announced Moonlit Vigil is launching in the first quarter of 2027. The Steam page of this psychological horror is now live with a demo planned to be released sometime in November.
Moonlit Vigil is a first-person narrative horror game where players take on the role of the cemetery's new caretaker. As they go about their duties, stranger and stranger things start to happen. It quickly turns their first shift into a nightmare. They'll need to explore the grounds and learn what really happens to bodies once they're buried in this atmospheric nightmare filled with jumpscares.
Compared to other indie horror games that utilize a low-poly and PSX-inspired aesthetic, the developer shared in a statement that Moonlit Vigil instead makes use of physically based rendering assets along with Unity's High Definition Render Pipeline. This allows for a more detailed and atmospheric environment.
