SK Studios announced that its dark-fantasy dungeon crawler Ignite the Depths is coming out in the third quarter of 2026. It's going to be available for the PC via Steam.
Ignite the Depths is a cooperative hack-and-slash dungeon crawler that's set across three hand-crafted dimensions. Players get the choice to venture into the Abyss alone or form a party of up to four players. There they get to fight against monstrous creatures, solve environmental puzzles, and forge wildly different builds. Every dimension culminates in a unique boss encounter that features bespoke mechanics, environmental puzzles, and large-scale raid-inspired set pieces that test teamwork as much as individual skill.
Indeed, while there is the option to face the challenges alone, Ignite the Depths was actually designed around deep co-op synergy. What that means is that the game rewards creative teamwork and ability combinations. Aside from defeating enemies, players can also destroy barrels and uncover hidden treasure that reward them with resources. These same resources can then be spent at Pickle and Po's shop to come up with those powerful builds and customize each class.
The game features a dreamy retro-inspired art style that combines classic visuals with modern rendering techniques. This results in it having that unique aesthetic. The studio revealed that playtests are planned to be held ahead of the game's release. Those interested can request access through the Steam page.

In a statement, SK Studios developer Marcus Klammt revealed that for Ignite the Depths, they wanted players to have the feeling of taking on MMO-style dungeons with friend but without the need for those long grinds.
