Developer Mintrocket announced that the upcoming DLC for Dave the Diver is releasing on June 18. The “In the Jungle” DLC has Dave venture into all new territory. He'll need to embrace new freshwater responsibilities, meet the locals, help familiar friends, and of course, explore unfamiliar waters.
The Village
The upcoming DLC introduces players to Utara. This jungle village is one where time flows in real-time. While in the village, Dave can spend his days freely diving underwater, gathering fruits and resources. He'll also need to build relationships with the locals by completing tasks and side quests. There are potential friends, and possible future customers, who trust and patronage that Dave needs to earn. As relationships deepen, so too do the rewards. Players can unlock new opportunities across Utara which then creates ripple effects that extend all the way to Bancho’s restaurant business.
New Restaurant
One of the biggest departures that the DLC has from the base game is the Bancho Grill. This new restaurant in Utara Features a fully cooked freshwater menu.
Compared to Bancho Sushi where movement was limited, this new restaurant allows Dave to move freely throughout the Grill. It also lets Dave serve customers across multiple areas instead of a single horizontal plane. Then as Dave’s bonds with villagers grow, they’ll start to visit Bancho Grill as diners, making the restaurant a key hub, and a vital link, between Dave and the village community.
Systems & Weapons
Once the DLC goes live, it allows Dave to dive into a massive freshwater lake rather than the Blue Hole. The lake is packed with new aquatic life and features unexpected cuisine options along with a lot of lurking danger.
Of course, new waters demand new tools. With this, Dave can use the latest piece of gear which is the Jungle Gun. This versatile weapon can freely transform into net guns, shotguns, snipers, or regular guns. It lets Dto adapt on the fly and give players the freedom to experiment with their preferred combat styles.
