Into the Mist Update for FINAL FANTASY XIV Online Releasing December 16

Square Enix released new details for the upcoming update of FINAL FANTASY XIV Online. Patch 7.4 is titled as "Into the Mist" and introduces a lot of new content for everyone to enjoy.

New content arriving include:

New Main Scenario Quests

New Dungeon – Mistwake.

New Trial – Hell on Rails (Includes both Normal and Extreme modes).

New Raid Tier – The Arcadion: Heavyweight (Includes both Normal and Savage modes).

New Unreal Trial – Tsukuyomi's Pain (Unreal): Take on Tsukuyomi, at level 100.

Duty Support Additions – Support for the Dzemael Darkhold and Aurum Vale is going to be added.

Occult Crescent Update – Three new Phantom Jobs along with new accessories that include set bonuses.

Other Improvements

There are also some interesting changes being made when the update launches. One of these focuses on the Glamour System. In particular, the level, class, or job restrictions on gear are being removed for glamour purposes. This means players can now apply glamour to the appearance of gear no matter the previous level, class, and job restrictions.

There are also updates made to PvP. What’s going to happen is that once PvP Series 10 starts, some existing actions are set to be adjusted. There’s also the addition of a new Frontline campaign which is Worqor Chirteh (Triumph).

Additional New Content

Once Patch 7.4 goes live, Patch 7.41 and Patch 7.45 then follows within a certain time. Content to be introduced include:

Phantom Weapon Updates (Patch 7.41)

Cosmic Exploration – New Planet – Oizys (Patch 7.41) – The latest planet for crafters and gatherers to explore, as well as new rewards and system updates

New Variant Dungeon (Patch 7.45) – Merchant’s Tale – Players can enjoy the content with different ways to play and difficulty levels to suit their playstyles

Inconceivably Further Hildibrand Adventures (Patch 7.45)
