It’s Time to Head to Ohio as the New Update for Fallout 76 Goes Live

The latest update for Fallout 76 is finally here. It opens a new region and invites players to explore what may be the largest addition to the map.

The update brings players to the Burning Springs. This is a region of southeastern Ohio that's experienced not only nuclear destruction as a result of bombs being dropped, but also environmental poisoning from the local Abraxodyne Chemical plant. As a result, the area has become a desolate and barren wasteland having poisonous water. That's not all since a dust storm coats everything in a toxin known as Rust.

Rust King

Speaking of rust, none other than the Rust King calls the place home. This Super Mutant has brains as much as brawn. When it comes to the Burning Springs, the Rust King is a ruler who is both unrelenting and unforgiving. He has twisted the land into a cruel kingdom, one where the only rule is "might makes right." Players can encounter this monstrous monarch during the new questline. He'll be asking players to prove their worth and brave the wilds of his wasteland.

Highway Town

The thing about Burning Springs is that while it's indeed barren, the region has what can be described as pockets of life. The Highway Town for example serves as a pit stop for the last of humanity. It's built on a section of elevated highway with players being able to rest and resupply here. Highway Town also serves as the region's new social hub. Then there's The Last Resort saloon, located at the end of town, that also serves up Bounty Hunt contracts.

Fallout 76 invites players to explore a vast wasteland, one that’s been devastated by nuclear war.
