Teruido Games announced that KARATE ROGUE has been chosen for the Official Selection at BitSummit Punch!. It's taking place from May 22 to May 24.
BitSummit Punch! is the premier independent game festival in Japan and held annually in Kyoto. It was founded in 2013 and serves as the ultimate incubator for connecting Japanese and international indie creators with global publishers, fans, and industry.
For the upcoming event, visitors get the chance to play a new character in KARATE ROGUE. Prepare to meet the Elf, a technical fighter who uses magic and combines it with a unique martial arts style called Elven Jiu-Jitsu. In particular, Elven Jiu-Jitsu makes use of debuffs, counters, throws, and magic affinity to weaken enemies and turn their attacks against them. While her raw attack and defense are lower, the Elf is all about careful setup and strategic play. Those able to master her techniques can build powerful chains of debuffs, counters, and finishing strikes.
For now, the Elf is not included in the currently available public demo. The BitSummit is where she makes her official playable debut.
KARATE ROGUE is a roguelike martial arts dungeon RPG where players use combat techniques that's inspired by karate, martial arts, and fighting sports to defeat monsters and survive dangerous dungeons.

Final Demo
Back in February 2026, the studio released what it called the "Final Demo." One of the new features introduced is the Arcade Mode. In this mode, there's not much in terms of story. What makes it challenging is that there's no town, no cat companion, and no mid-run saves or revives.
Release Date
Initially, the studio wanted to release KARATE ROGUE for Spring 2026. However, development of the game has fallen behind and as a result, the release date is what the studio says as “undetermined.” The studio went on to say that they’re working to release the game within the year.
