Developer AtomTeam announced that its Kickstarter campaign for ATOM RPG 2 has been fully funded. With this, the studio is now ready to move the series into a new era.

For the Kickstarter campaign, it has received a pledge of $59,677 from 1,001 backers. The goal was $58,419. While the objective has been met, those interested can still show their support since there are still 16 days left. Check out the campaign here.

In a statement, the studio revealed that its biggest new hook is the seamless 35x35 km open world set in the Caspian Wastes. It's an open world that has no separate global map or constant loading screens. What this means is that players can shape their own journey in a more immersive sandbox. These include being able to travel freely, explore ruined facilities, drive across the wasteland, discover strange places, and survive dangerous encounters, to name a few.

The Caspian Wastes

ATOM RPG 2 is set in the Caspian Wastes. It's a vast new region that's built around the colossal ruins of the First City of the Future. Here, innovative systems of control and social engineering were tested before the bombs fell. However, it appears that the past is stirring once again.

As they travel across the different biomes of the Caspian Wastes, players discover settlements, ruins, and dangerous routes. There are also stories both large and small. Some of the choices made affect individual lives and some entire communities.

Old-school RPG

ATOM RPG 2 offers greater player involvement by being an old-school roleplaying game at heart. There's a lot to do with the interactive world map that includes base building, fishing, racing, and weapon and vehicle manufacture and modification. There's even trading and plundering. Players can also look forward to side activities that they'll discover in their new adventure.

ATOM RPG 2 improves the roleplaying system of the previous title. It lets players actively use a lot of their skills in the world, ride or drive vehicles, and cover mechanics. They can also fight those truly tactical battles with vertical level design. Then there's the added ability to climb.
