A new update has been released for Cast n Chill and it brings with it a certain cold. The Winter Update freezes up Lake Hunkerdown but it doesn't mean fishing is done.
One of the new contents introduced is the Frostbite Flats, which serves as an ice fishing spot. Here the ice is thick as an old maple taffy. The frozen waterfalls glisten like diamonds with critters like hares and snow foxes peeking around. It's a scene that feels as if it's in a postcard.
New Gear
Players should be happy to know that the update introduces new gear. There's the Snow Wolf XT1 Snowmobile which allow them to rip across the ice like a chainsaw through cedar. Meanwhile, two new rods have been added which should be excellent news for those hardwater warriors. The first is the Frost Stick. This is a solid all-rounder and able to break through first ice as if it was nothing. Second is Hardwater Howler and when the cold bites hard, this baby bites back.
New Companion
There's also a new companion available to all players. Get ready to meet your St. Bernard Buddy, a big, furry, and loyal companion. This one is sure to keep one's spirits up especially when the wind is howling.
Extra Goodies
There are also other goodies players can enjoy. There's the fancy new character customizer, which means no more random shuffling. Of course, there are the usual bug fixes.
Cast n Chill is a game for those who prefer wetting a line instead of breaking a sweat. It's a game where players get to set the pace. Like with most fishing games, players start with the basics. They get to catch whatever bites and then sell the haul. Once they have the coins, they can use it to buy better rods, reels, and upgrades. Eventually, they'll be out in the water wrangling those rare species.
Cast n Chill offers different modes for players to choose. In Active Mode for example, players get to cast, reel, and keep busy much like a loon at nesting time. Meanwhile in Passive it's all about letting the game do the work. Get Cast n Chill on Steam now.
