Loop8: Summer of Gods is a coming-of-age RPG that follows the journey of protagonist Nini and his classmates as they try to defeat the Kegai, demonic entities who have forced humanity to the brink of extinction. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world where Nini has spent most of his life on a failed space station known as "Hope". Nini returns to Earth to spend his summer in Ashihara, one of humanity's last remaining sanctuaries. He discovers he is gifted with "Demon Sight," a special connection to the gods that allows him to reset the world.
Nini and his allies relive the 8th month repeatedly until they get it right, learning more about themselves and their world with each iteration. However, they are not alone in this quest as the game features a host of characters to befriend, locales to explore, and enemies to face throughout their journey.
The game's opening cinematic showcases the stunning art style of Loop8: Summer of Gods, with its detailed, watercolor-inspired scenery and anime-influenced character designs over a musical backdrop provided by the original song "Genfunkei" sung by NaHo/QiSui, which sets the poignant tone for the game.
Developed by SIEG Games and Marvelous Inc. and published by XSEED Games, Loop8: Summer of Gods is set to release on June 6, 2023, for the Nintendo Switch™ system, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam. The title will be available digitally in both standard and deluxe editions on PC. Physical versions will also be available for consoles at launch, with a standard edition available and a limited Celestial Edition available through the XSEED Game Store and participating retailers.
Loop8: Summer of Gods promises to be a unique and engaging RPG experience, with its time-traveling mechanic and deep narrative-driven gameplay. With a talented development team and a host of features, Loop8: Summer of Gods looks to be a game that fans of the genre won't want to miss.
