A new update has been released for Looter Survivors and introduces major Crafting & Progression Overhaul. In particular, it adds a permanent Mastery Board. What it does is offer a new permanent progression system for each character. This lets players unlock upgrades on the Mastery Board and gradually strengthen their character across runs.
Another change is the Affix Synthesis. These Affixes can now be extracted from other equipment and added to the gear. In addition to an item's four base affixes, players can add as much as two synthesized affixes. As a result, they can now create equipment with up to six affixes.
The new update also makes changes to Aspects. Legendary items can now be dismantled to permanently register their Legendary Effects as Aspects. Once registered, an Aspect can be used to replace the Legendary Effect on another Legendary item. This should allow for more control over how a build comes together.
Finally, equipment can now roll with sockets. Players can insert gems into socketed items to further customize their build and add additional bonuses to the gear.
Looter Survivors features an immediate and swarm-clearing action of a survivors-like game and adds the buildcraft of a hack-and-slash loot game. In the game, power isn't simply from leveling up during a run. It also comes from the gear collected, the random effects attached to that gear, and the way those effects shape the next build. Players need to find equipment, compare its stats, keep the pieces that open new possibilities, and refine the setup between runs. A weapon, armor piece, or accessory can push them toward elemental damage, summon scaling, defense, critical hits, or a specialized legendary effect. The fun in the game is finding that strange combination and turning it into a build that works.
Looter Survivor is built for players who love loot and builds though may not always have an endless time commitment. This hack-and-slash roguelite follows a clear arc. Collect gear, improve the army, push through stages, defeat bosses, and reach a satisfying endpoint.
Overall, Looter Survivors is a game that combines survivors-like combat with hack-and-slash loot. Get the game on Steam now.
