Lora the Vessel Joins the Fight in Wayfinder

The full version of Wayfinder is finally here. With its release comes a lot of new content. One of these is the introduction of a new character named Lora the Vessel.

Lora is a vessel of a primal spirit, which is a deadly force that frightens even her allies. As an orphan with few memories of her past, she’s determined to master this power before she loses anyone else.

Channeling for Power

She’s bringing to the game some interesting abilities. Her (Passive) Channeling skill for example lets her channel the power of her Avatar by damaging enemies with attacks and abilities. Once her power has been fully charged, she can then enter the Channeling state which empowers her abilities.

It’s Clobbering Time

One of her abilities is known as Clobber which has her release a spirit fist forward and smash enemies in its path. It can be Channeled with Lora lunging forward and expelling a massive spirit fist which then causes additional break damage and knocking enemies back. Clobber’s cooldown by the way is reset every time Lora enters Channeling.

Protecting Allies

Another ability is Possession. This one has the Avatar exert its presence and give Lora a damage shield that reflects damage back to attackers for a short duration. At the same time, Lora and nearby allies get a protective aura that reduces incoming damage. This can also be Channeled which has the Avatar manifest to pull in and smash nearby enemies. In addition, all party members get the reflective damage shield in addition to the damage reduction aura.

Dash to the Fight

The Seismic Launch skill has Lora quickly dash forward and damage any enemies in front. When Channeled, it knocks back enemies while reducing incoming damage. The dash can also be held and charged for increased distance.

Release the Spirit

The final ability is Unleash. This one has Lora release their spirit and transform into the Avatar. The Avatar regenerates health while greatly resistant to all damage. The Avatar can even pummel enemies with its fists.
