Tetrarchy Studios announced playtesting for its upcoming dystopian narrative thriller Mandated Fate is still open. This should be a good way to try the game early before the official demo is released this early May.
To join the playtest, players can join the Official Discord server and request a Steam key. They can also request access through the Mandated Fate Steam page. Within the game itself, there's going to be an option to fill out a completely anonymous feedback form.

Mandated Fate explores a future where humanity’s grand technological dreams have collapsed into systems of control. It draws inspiration from classic dystopian storytelling and noir science fiction. The game presents a bleak yet compelling world where gravity manipulation powers an authoritarian society. Being built almost entirely by a solo developer, the project reflects a passion for sci-fi narratives in which humanity ultimately becomes crushed under the weight of its own ambitions.
Mandated Fate is set in an alternate 1985 and drops players into a society that's obsessed with technological dominance and absolute unity. They're tasked with investigating a mysterious murder in a resistant district and along the way uncover a web of secrets, surveillance, and conflicting loyalties.
Through deep dialogue systems, environmental exploration, and faction manipulation, players need to decide whether to uphold the regime, or quietly dismantle it from within. They'll have to interrogate suspects and uncover hidden truths while navigating a dense and vertical city with seamless exploration. The morally complex decisions players made shape multiple outcomes. Ultimately it's a balance between personal survival against political consequences.
