Marvel Contest of Champions is introducing a new solo PvE game mode. Players are invited to test their skills and see if they have what it takes to climb the Towers.
Towers is a new game mode that players have to tackle solo. They'll need to clear floors before the timers expire in order to earn rewards and move to the next one. Each floor features a single fight that has specific requirements. That means players need to review it as they go inside. The good news is that players are given as many attempts as they like. There's even the option to choose another Champion if they're struggling with the one they selected.
Tower Floors need to be completed in sequential order and make up a Tower Block. Blocks establish Champion restrictions for all their floors, whether that is Class, or another limiter. Champions who are used on that Floor of the Tower are Locked for the rest of the Tower Block and cannot be used again. However, once the entire Tower Block of Floors are cleared, the Champions are once more unlocked so players can use them again when they advance to the next Tower Block.
Types of Towers
There are multiple types of Towers and each one presents a different challenge. Class Towers has players utilize Champions of a specific Class and fight as high as they can. The battles presented in this Tower are as endless as the power of the Roster. As they climb the Tower, if the Attacking Champion of the players are stronger than the opponent, they'll deal more damage. However, if the Defender is stronger then players need to prepare for a much harder uphill battle.
Meanwhile, Challenge Towers offer unique challenges that test the skill of the players, their Champions, and their mettle. There are additional Challenge Towers that can be unlocked by progressing in various ways.
Marvel Contest of Champions has players take on the role of a Summoner chosen by The Collector. They assemble a powerful team from a roster of more than 300 Champions. Players can engage in fast-paced battles against enemies and players from around the world. They'll have to master intuitive combat mechanics and release special attacks as they fight across cinematic storylines, competitive arenas, and time-limited events.
