Great news for fans of Metaphor: ReFantazio. The game has received the award for Narrative during the BAFTA Game Awards 2025. This isn't that surprising considering that great storytelling has always been at the heart of the game.

Narrative is one of two categories that the game was nominated for. The second one was for New Intellectual Property with the award going to Still Wakes the Deep.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is set in the United Kingdom of Euchronia, a medieval fantasy realm that mirrors the contemporary real world. An assassination attempt on the Prince resulted in him being cursed and falling into a long slumber. The story focuses on an orphaned boy of the magic-wielding Elda tribe and the Prince's childhood friend who participates in the Royal Tournament that's held to decide the throne's successor. Players get to journey across Euchronia to rally support from its people as they search for a way to lift the curse. Metaphor: ReFantazio is available for the PC via Steam.
