Morbid Metal is Now in Steam Early Access

Morbid Metal is now officially available in Early Access on Steam. The game invites players to experience stylish and fast paced indie hack ’n’ slash rogue-lite. They're able to shapeshift between three deadly forms to release those devastating hybrid combos and try to survive a collapsing simulation.

Currently, the game is being offered at 1 25% discount for a limited period. In a post, studio Screen Juice shared that the game has been in development for years now and it's finally in Early Access. The studio went on to say that they plan to release major updates on a regular basis until the 1.0 version is released. These updates expand the characters, biomes, enemies, and even narrative of the game. They went on to say that the full roadmap is planned to be unveiled on April 17.

A Dystopian Future

Morbid Metal has players explore the remains of a distant dystopian future and try to survive a gritty and brutal world of high‑octane and fast‑paced hack‑and‑slash action. Each cycle reveals fragments of forgotten truth about mankind’s self‑inflicted downfall. What makes this title interesting is that at the press of a button, players can seamlessly shapeshift mid‑combat between Flux, Ekku, and Vekta. Each one brings with them unique abilities, playstyles, and special attacks. There are chain attacks available along with dozens of combos to master and turn every run into a seamless and lethal choreography.

New Experience Each Run

The game features various paths where each one culminates in epic boss encounters. To survive, players need to keep in mind timing, adaptability, and composure. Players can evolve characters and refine their build each run. This means each attempt feels fresh and challenging. The studio made sure that the lasting meta‑progression keeps every run meaningful.
