Good news for PC players of Sunderfolk! Patch 2.0 has arrived and introduces Mouse & Keyboard Controls to the game. This is something that has long been requested by the community.
What this means is that players can now enjoy Sunderfolk directly on their computer through mouse and keyboard controls. No Sunderfolk Controller app required. However, couch co-op players need not worry since they can continue to use the existing controller-app setup.
PC Online Multiplayer
The update also introduces a new way for everyone to play with friends. The online multiplayer feature lets those who own a copy of the game to start a multiplayer game and have them host or join online multiplayer sessions. That's not all since those who stream the game can let others join through their phone controllers.
How this feature works is that once they launch Sunderfolk, players can choose "Online Multiplayer" to host or even join a lobby. Hosts can create a lobby by simply selecting "Host", which then takes them to the Lobby screen. There, hosts should find an Invite Code available for sharing. PC players can invite friends to join games through Steam’s existing right click invite feature.
Players joining the Host’s lobby can click on "Join" to type in the Invite Code provided by the Host. Once all players are in, they can Ready Up to start the session.

Sunderfolk is a couch co-op and turn-based tactical RPG where the phone serves as the controller. Players can choose from one of six unique classes, each with their own playstyle. They can form a team with a maximum of three other players and go on an adventure together through the magical and dangerous Sunderlands. When it comes to shaping characters, the game comes with a narrative while at the same time encouraging players to enhance their strengths using Skill Cards. They can also customize their character’s build mission after mission using Trinkets and Weapons.
Overall, Sunderfolk transitions the traditional couch co-op experience into a dramatically new and immersive digital adventure. The twist on traditional RPG classes and the emphasis on community building adds a substantive depth to gameplay, potentially setting Sunderfolk as a watershed moment in turn-based tactical RPGs.
