Narrative RPG Midnight Therapy is Coming Soon to Steam

Cointinue Games announced that Midnight Therapy is coming soon to the PC. The studio has unveiled the Steam store page for this narrative RPG. The game offers mind exploration and combines it with light deduction.

The indie studio developing the game is the same team responsible for the critically acclaimed narrative game Midnight Ramen and the productivity RPG Deadline Savior. In addition, Midnight Therapy also expands their "Prometheus" universe as it offers a deep narrative storytelling and combines it with the unique "mind-diving" mechanics. It invites players to explore the complex and often contradictory nature of the modern human condition.

A New Chapter

The studio shared that while Midnight Ramen was all about warming the hearts of souls filled with regret through food, Midnight Therapy shifts the stage to a bustling yet isolating modern metropolis. This time, players take on the role of Pyrra Gray. She's an elite therapist known for her high fees, sharp professionalism, and incredible efficiency.

Hiding a Big Secret

The thing is, Pyrra hides a really big secret. The reason for her success isn't because of her skill but it's all thanks to magic. She has been using spells to forcibly erase the negative emotions of her patients. However, a mission goes awry and results in her magic being completely sealed. Stripped of her "cheat codes," Pyrra now has to face an endless stream of broken patients, along with crushing financial pressure, and have to use nothing but her wits and words.

Talking about this new title, the studio revealed in a statement that if Midnight was all about learning how to say that gentle goodbye, Midnight Therapy focuses on “finding the courage to face the naked truth.” For this new title, the studio went on to say that they wanted to explore stories of those, among others, being “weighed down by regrets” that they can’t let go.

Overall, Midnight Therapy isn’t simply a story about a therapist saving others, but it’s one where she also saves herself. While no launch date has been announced, those interested in Midnight Therapy can wishlist it on Steam now.
