Ever since Smalland: Survive the Wilds was released in February of this year, it has captured the imagination of players around the world. This is mainly due the game's stunning sound.
To give everyone an idea at how that came to be, a new video has been released by Maximum Entertainment. It offers a look at behind the scenes and follows composer Pav Gekko and the Limelight Orchestra as they create a special orchestral version of the stunning sound behind the game.
While the game has been receiving regular updates since it was launched, it can't be denied that the fairytale atmosphere is due to the compelling score. Indeed, players can now experience it like never before, especially with the latest live orchestra interpretation. The behind-the-scenes video from the special Orchestral performances is able to capture and show the love and care that was put into creating such a vibrant sound for this beloved title.

Pav Gekko has created a Smalland soundtrack that is inspired by classical music and the greats from the world of cinema. He appears in the video alongside fellow composer Ryan Williams (Dead Island 2), who joined to observe the orchestra, and musicians from the local area that help to give the elf-like hero of Smalland their own Hollywood-style score.
In a statement, Pav Gekko shared that he believes when it comes to music in games, it should be “of the highest quality.” He added that the soundtrack of the game is inspired by the iconic symphonic adventure scores of the 1980s especially as it combines nostalgic action-adventure idioms with that fairytale-like quality and vibrant orchestral colours.
