Burgee Media announced that they're launching a seasonal Halloween event this November for Erenshor. Once it goes live, it's going to double the content already available in the demo.
Dubbed as the "Shivering Step," it's set to add about three additional hours. Other new content include:
- Content for characters level 5-10.
- Dozens of new items.
- 6 new boss fights, 2 of which are secrets that players have to discover.
- New armor sets.
- New puzzles.
- A spooky quest that'll re-introduces some old friends.
This update releases October 14 and to be available until November 7. The studio revealed in a statement that all progress made and items obtained in the demo are carried over to full release.
Erenshor offers a refreshing return to the classics by bringing with it some unique twists. While it's set in a precedent in MMORPG philosophy, the game gives players an integral role of an active offline world that's full of persistent simulated characters. This should present an alternative when it comes to multiplayer gaming.
The game features an evolutionary approach to the genre where players get to start from scratch and then gradually accumulate wealth and power. Its design meanwhile puts focus on the inevitability of both success and failure. As such, it fosters a learning curve which effectively enhances game engagement.
Players get to engage with hundreds of NPCs, join in epic quests, take part in monster hunts, and unearth countless treasures. The game also has an active economy where players get to purchase or sell loot. One of the innovations that game offers is that the simulated players level up alongside with actual players, independent of their online status. They get to do a lot of things based on the interactions made. These include actions like initiating alliances, exploring new items, joining guilds, and forming those dynamic relationships. All of these actions are instrumental in qualifying for some of the most challenging endeavor of the games.
Overall, Erenshor is a vibrant homage to the golden age of MMORPGs. There’ no release date announced but you can now wishlist it on Steam now. A free demo is also available on the platform.
