Update 1.1 has arrived in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon. This is the biggest-ever post-launch update since the game was released back in May. One of the new features is the addition of New Game Plus.

For those not familiar, New Game Plus, or NG+, is a feature in video games where players can restart the story after they've completed it. Depending on the game, they retain some or all of their progress. These include levels, experience, and even items.

For Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, details include:

  • The entire world is reset and players can complete the game with new choices.
  • A lot of things are kept with the exception of the King’s Power, learned recipes, quests, keys, and readable items.
  • The armor is debuffed for each NG+ level.
  • Enemies are stronger and have higher status resistances.
  • All items found and crafted are stronger and rewards are improved.
  • A couple of enemies drop more loot.

Transmog System

The new update introduces a transmogrification feature at the handcrafting station. This allows players to change the visual appearance of their items to any discovered style in the game.

Other Changes

Other changes made to the game through Patch 1.1 are:

  • Added origin potion recipe to Helled's sanctum from the alchemist questline.
  • Added an unread status marker to readable items to clearly indicate which ones have not been read yet.
  • The journal now has more than 120 entries about NPC characters, along with new lore entries.
  • Added new dialogues for Kvorr and Black Annis for players whose attempts for a new pet did not work out too well for them.

Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon invites players to step into a mature and first-person perspective open-world RPG that immerses them in a dark fantasy realm inspired by Arthurian legends. They'll need to uncover a complex and branching main storyline where they can shape the legacy of King Arthur’s reign, 600 years after his fall amidst unending strife. This game is pretty much a love letter to open-world FPP RPGs. Get Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon on Steam now.
