New Units Arrive to SUPER ROBOT WARS Y as DLC 2 with DLC 2

The second DLC for SUPER ROBOT WARS Y is now available. It brings with it a lot of new and exciting content to the game.

Over on Steam, the DLC 2 is available for $14.99. It offers five playable units that are rewarded once players complete Area Missions. The units are:

Getter Noir 1

Getter Noir G

Da-Garn X

Great Da-Garn GX

DLC 2 also brings with it additional missions, particularly 16 Area Missions and 10 On-board Missions. Players can also get their hands on a new Assist Crew Member with Seiji.

For those who haven't purchased the first DLC, they don't need to worry. That's because they can also get the DLC 1 & 2 Set available for $29.99. Not only does it have both DLCs but even comes with a set bonus which is 2 Area Missions and 1 Bonus Mission.

Free Update

Earlier this week, a free update for SUPER ROBOT WARS Y was released. It adds new features to the game with one of them being the Special Mission: "Battle Rush 2." It's available to those able to reach the ending and complete the first "Battle Rush" mission. This is an evolved version of Battle Rush and now offers 20 waves. That means players need higher firepower, longer operational time, even more strategic resource management. In addition, players need to maintain consistent balance across all difficulty settings.

The update also expands the STG Memory system by introducing a new STG Memory. It's available once Chapter 4 is completed. Another change are the pilot progression options being increased through Status Cap Unlock. In particular, it increases the pilot stat enhancement cap to +50 and extends the pilot level cap from Lv.99 to Lv.150.

The update also lets mechs and weapons reach +5 upgrade tiers and thus offer more flexibility in strengthening favorite units and further enhancing combat potential. All players also gain access to DLC2: Area Mission Episode 1 "Omen." This mission becomes available once players clear the first mission of Chapter 2, "A Mission for Brave Heroes."
