A new update has been released for Endless Legend 2. There are two changes introduced that relate to how empires react to players.
Cumulative Public Opinion
The first is the feature known as Cumulative Public Opinion. How it works is that certain actions are going to stack Public Opinion from other empires. Each time an action is performed toward an Empire, whether hostile or friendly, a counter climbs.
Badge System
Another change is the Badge System, which represents a pattern of behavior so consistent that it defines how the other empire sees the player. It's basically an artificial intelligence (AI) system that remembers the behavior players have towards them in the early game. According to the development team, this doesn't serve as a hurdle as it relates to diplomacy with an empire. Instead, it makes things harder since players are now accountable for their behavior.
Army Panel
There are also other interesting changes like the Army Panel window. This new window helps players access all relevant information about their armies at a glance. They can see army strength and whether it contains a hero, upkeep cost, and even location. The development team revealed that they added this feature since it was one of the highly requested ones.
Gamepad Support
On the technical side, players should be happy to know that the game now has official controller support. Once they connect a controller, they should get a popup asking them to confirm the switch. The team shared that for those able to try this feature out, they should provide feedback so the team knows everything is working smoothly.
The latest update is dubbed as the Voice of the People. Read more about it here.
