Netmarble announced that Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is releasing its Global Content Alignment server on October 13. Once it goes live, it offers sweeping updates across progression, combat, visuals, game economy, and an enhanced multiplayer experience.
Once the Global Content Alignment is launched, the studio is then releasing a Season 3 update which comes with a new storyline set against the backdrop of the Stormlands.
Planned Improvements
The new content introduces substantial improvements across the gameplay experience. These include a Membership and Battle Pass-focused system and a rewarding progression system. There's also the rebalanced combat and growth that should allow for a natural gameplay flow. Meanwhile, a new Dual Weapon System lets players switch weapons during combat for greater strategic flexibility.
Updated as well are the multiplayer content. Changes have been made for features like Elite Hideout, Honor Points, UI/UX, and skip functions. The Exchange Post has been updated as well to improve cooperative and competitive gameplay. There are also improvements made to the visual quality to create a smoother and more intuitive experience.
The update gives players the flexibility needed for them to retain their existing characters and gameplay, especially if they want to play on the current Western Server. Of course, those who prefer to experience the redesigned gameplay systems on the Global Content Alignment server are offered a comprehensive reward program based on both character progression and cumulative purchase history on the Western Server.
The Reward Lookup feature becomes available once pre-registration opens on September 21. It lets players review both progression, along with purchase-based rewards, ahead of the new Global Content Alignment's launch on October 13.
