Bluepoch Games announced that its upcoming Version 3.4 update for Reverse: 1999 is launching April 16. Dubbed as "Spring Unending," it's available on the PC and mobile platforms.

This reveal was made during a special anniversary livestream which featured stylized live 2D chibi performances from fan-favourite character Regulus and a new character, who is one of the editors from the UTTU magazine, Reed. The same program also had the new limited 6-star character Paper Heron join as special guest.

New Characters

The new update for Reverse: 1999 introduces Paper Heron. This new limited 6-star character is a wandering Daoist swordswoman who follows her own path to restore balance in the world. Players can obtain her through the anniversary-exclusive banner "Her Heart-Cut Spring," alongside bonus summon rewards.

The second new 6-star character Cheng Heguang is set to arrive in Phase 2 through the "Soaring Aspirations" banner. Cheng Heguang brings a steadfast sense of justice and new strategic possibilities to team compositions.

Returning System

The new update is set to make changes to the Pre-Storm Protocol. In particular, this survival and exploration gameplay returns with new characters, progression systems, and rewards, including free 4-star arcanist Reed. It now has a Message Board System where players can now leave tips and guidance for others. Meanwhile, the Fruits of Practice System allows players to unlock buffs through gameplay progression.

New System

The update also introduces a new Multiplayer Mode with Musae’s Arcade. This is a party-style experience where players can create rooms, compete in mini-games, and earn rewards including exclusive cosmetics. They can play during Duel Time to earn Marvelous Marbles. The Marvelous Marbles can be redeemed at the Costume Vending Machine to obtain costumes such as Horropedia’s Theme Garment (A Daoist’s Madness).

Reverse: 1999 is a 20th Century Time-Travel Strategic RPG. It’s set on the final day of 1999 where “The Storm” descends and reverses time itself. Players take on the role of the Timekeeper as they travel across eras from the Roaring ‘20s to the turn of the millennium. All of these to discover the truth behind the phenomenon. The game features a cinematic narrative, striking visuals blending retro and modern styles. Reverse: 1999 delivers a unique journey through time and mystery. Get the game on Steam now.
