Developer Seizon Games announced that Novus Orbis is releasing on Early Access this February. The game has players collect cards, receive blessings, add pets, and grow stronger. They can chain together cards in sequence for max power and act before the enemy does to gain a much needed edge. The game pretty much has the deckbuilding gameplay of Slay the Spire combined with the run-breaking synergies and exploration of The Binding of Isaac.

Novus Orbis is a roguelike deckbuilder that encourages players to have complex builds that have deep deck combos, powerful Blessings, and a wealth of secrets to discover. The goal is to explore, battle, and strengthen might and knowledge to bring order back to the land.

Key features of the game include:

  • Combo System: Every card has a cost and a combo value. Players need to play their cards in the right order to achieve their full potential, or even break the combo to get a more favorable outcome.
  • Countdown System: Every time they play a card and when players end theur turn, enemies get closer to attacking them and can even attack during their turn,
  • Multiple Classes: Three classes with completely different sets of cards and mechanics.
  • Deck Building: More than 100 cards per class. Cards come in six types: Attack, Skill, Equipment, Item, Special, and Affliction.
  • Blessings: Powerful upgrades to the character. Get them from bosses, special rooms, shops, and secret interactions.
  • Pets: Find multiple companions per run, who will attack, support, heal , and more every turn.
