The first ever Open Beta demo for Cattle Country is now available for the PC via Steam. With this, players get the chance to try out this Wild West life-sim. It also lets them provide the much-needed feedback that can help shape the game.
The Open Beta is built upon the Closed Beta which took place back in August. It features a hearty slice of what players can expect from the full Cattle Country experience. For example, there's going to be new additions which are based on the community/Closed Beta feedback.
Character Creations
For starters, players can create their own character as well as manage a pre-built ranch. They also get to interact with local characters and even explore some of the early features. Players can customize their character, the pronouns, and name of the ranch. Once that's done, they then get to meet Mayor Archibald who welcomes them to the town. As a way of saving time, the mayor has in fact set up a small and simple ranch to get everyone started.
By the way, players can simply jump straight to the game or experience the optional tutorial.
Meeting the People
As mentioned, Mayor Archibald is one of the characters you get to meet first. He’ll be staying near the ranch and more than ready to take players to the Town Square, or even Mines, especially for those who want to fast travel. Those who want to explore on foot can keep an eye out for the signposts.
Aside from the mayor, players can also interact with and even make friends with some of the characters who are going to appear in the full game. They’ll be giving some interesting quests.
