The Keepers of the Flame expansion is now live in Path of Exile. In celebration, everyone is invited to the Uber Boss Kill Event where they compete to slay the Uber Incarnation of Dread in the Keepers HC SSF League. The event starts November 13 and ends November 20.
To join, players need to go to the character selection screen. There should be a panel below the characters which list the events available. Choose the event and then click "join". This option is available 30 minutes before the event is set to begin.
Rules
In a post, Grinding Gear Games revealed that if the event encounters any operational problems, the event may be started at any point. Should that happen, they'll be creating a new event league and indicate that players who wish to compete in the new event need to make new characters.
That said, players need to keep these in mind:
- Placings and prize eligibility are entirely at the discretion of Grinding Gear Games.
- While the event being SSF reduces a lot of scope for outside help, any form of account sharing disqualifies a player from receiving prizes.
- Grinding Gear Games Employees (past or present) are not eligible for prizes.
- Players who have played on the Alpha realm (when the expansion was first deployed) are not eligible for prizes.
- Dying or migrating your character out of the league doesn't remove prize eligibility as long as the kill occurred while in the league.
Prizes
Speaking of prizes, those able to reaches level 50 in the event get one guaranteed Third Edict Mystery Box. Meanwhile, the top 5 players who manage to kill the Uber Incarnation of Dread receive any of these microtransaction bundles:

- Celestial Warlord Back Attachment
- Divergence Weapon Effect
- Celestial Emperor Finisher Effect
- Breach Hedron Portal
- Midnight Pact Character Effect
