Path of the Stars to Help Beginners in Throne and Liberty

Starting a video game is difficult for some players. The good news is that NCSOFT is introducing something that's sure to help beginners in Throne and Liberty. The Path of Stars is a guide system that recommends ways for new players to build their character.

For example, new characters get to see the weapon recommendation guide during the Weapon selection step of the tutorial. Then once they level up their character, there's going to be multiple recommendation cards shown. Players can then choose the one that matches their playstyle.

The recommendations made are based on the current weapon combination equipped. The recommendations include Stat distribution, Active Skills, Passive Skills, Skill Specializations, Weapon Mastery modes, and Guardian choice. Recommendation cards won't be shown during combat to avoid interrupting the play experience. Meanwhile, players can review the unselected cards through the function in the Main Menu or on the left side of the minimap.

For those who want to change weapons or reset previous selections, they can use the reselection menu through the Growth Cards button on the character window.

New Player Benefits

Those who are new to playing Throne and Liberty get to receive a temporary New User Benefits buff which lasts for 50 days. New user buffs include:

  • +100% Sollant gain
  • +100% experience bonus on NPC kills
  • +50 Boss Critical Hit Chance
  • +50 Boss Heavy Attack
  • +15 Boss Bonus Damage
  • +15 Boss Damage Reduction
  • +400% Guild Treasure Score Gain.

The guide system arrives to the game through a new update which you can read more about here.

Throne and Liberty follow the story of a tumultuous world where players need to defeat the evil Kazar and ascend to the throne. They’ll also need to fight against other guilds who are also hoping to gain power for themselves. As the story progresses, it becomes clear that there is no linear path when it comes to victory. This means that players need to find their own way in the story.

There’s no question that the objective gameplay structure combined with the rich narrative allow for the game to be engaging and promising. Get Throne and Liberty for the PC via Steam now.
