Winter has arrived early as Permafrost is now available in Early Access for PC through Steam, GOG and Epic Games Store. This story-driven survival sandbox not only summons chaos and destruction but also pushes humanity to the brink of extinction in the aftermath of a cataclysmic event
Permafrost has players take on the role of Rook as they try to survive in an unforgiving environment on a journey to find their friend Icarus, who is long believed dead. They can face this white hell either alone, with only your dog companion by their side, or team up with three friends in co-op multiplayer.
Editions Available
There are three editions available with the first one being the Standard Edition, which has the base game. Meanwhile, the Companion Edition adds digital content, in particular the Official Companion. Finally, there's the Ultimate Edition which has everything in the Companion Edition. But that's not all since this version also comes with the Official Cookbook, Original Soundtrack, and the Permafrost Novel.

Permafrost is the newest title in the post-apocalyptic survival genre. The game builds its narrative around a catastrophic event which is that the world has been plunged into a permanent winter with deadly sub-zero temperatures. Players get to experience a grounded and story-driven open-world survival that's set in a near-future Earth locked in endless winter after a series of catastrophes that culminated in the shattering of the moon.
Players can face the challenges solo or together with up to three friends. They get to explore frozen cities and wilderness, survive brutal weather, navigate faction-controlled territories, hunt, scavenge, craft, and build a network of shelters to endure this post-apocalyptic world.
