Krystone Games and Human Qube announced that a playtest for Eldritch Escape is going to be available on Steam. It starts May 22 and those interested can now request access to be part of the playtest.
For the open playtest, players can try out some of the core experience that the game offers. They get to dive into 20-minute expeditions that feature multiple heroes, the game’s full suite of core mechanics, and a meta-progression layer that carries forward as players experiment, learn, and push deeper across hand-crafted worlds ruled by Great Old Ones.
For those interested to be part of the playtest on Steam, the minimum system requirements for the PC are:
- OS: Windows 7/8/10/11 (64 bit)
- Processor: 4 Cores / 2.4 GHz+
- Memory: 4 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon R7 265
- Storage: 1 GB available space
Eldritch Escape is about a realm that's been consumed by an ancient eldritch god. Players need to form a squad of survivors and explore the decaying worlds which have been trapped within the void. However, surviving the horde is just one of the many concerns. That's because players also need to navigate a tangled web of portals while at the same time managing a limited oxygen supply. Of course, they'll have to find a way out before the void claims them forever.
It's not all battles because underneath all that chaotic combat lies a layer of squad management and tactical depth. Players can choose three survivors from a growing roster. They then need to promote a leader to unlock those game-changing abilities. After that they have to decide when to push deeper and when to retreat. It's important to remember that there are a lot of dangers lurking in the void. Players who fall see their loot left behind.
