Point-and-Click Thriller Centum Now on PC and Consoles

Developer Hack the Publisher announced that Centum is now available on PC and consoles PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. This mind-twisting escape game challenges traditional conventions by weaving a rather intricate narrative where the reality is as fluid as the mind of the narrator.

Centum is present as a long-lost game that was never released. It places players in a dark tale shrouded in uncertainty and enigma. In particular, they wake up and find themselves inside a prison cell that's full of what can be described as seemingly ordinary objects.

Face the Challenge

In the game, players get to navigate across various daunting scenarios. Each click and decision is remembered and forces players to grapple with the unreliable nature of the narrator's hints and guidance. The thing is, there's no singular protagonist in this game. That's because it is the players who shape the behavior of an artificial intelligence through their choices and guide it towards different outcomes and experiences.

Players can also experience the game's dynamic dialogue system. They can engage in conversations that influence the ego states of the characters and change the course of the narrative. Overall, the game speaks of themes which challenge everyone to question not only the reality of the game but even their own perceptions and beliefs.

Premium Edition

While the game is mainly available in digital format, Switch owners have something to be happy about. A Premium Edition of the game is coming out for the console sometime in the Fall of this year. It's priced at $39.99 and in addition to a physical copy of the game for the Switch, it also has:

  • DIY Papercraft Aelle
  • Haunting glow-in-the-dark sticker sheet
  • Beosphere digital download card with soundtrack, wallpaper & icon pack
