Digital pre-orders for the console versions of RATATAN are now open. Those who pre-order before the official release get to enjoy a 10% discount. The 1.0 launch of the game is scheduled this October.
Before the launch of the full version, an update is being released which introduces the final world along with the ultimate boss at the end of the journey. In addition, all the "Dark Ratatans" that have appeared so far are going to assemble. There's also an Early Access phase before the full launch.
In a statement, Game Source Entertainment shared that the development team has completed a live orchestral recording session and this is being officially integrate into the game for 1.0 launch.
Console Digital Pre-Orders
The digital pre-orders are live across the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch 2. As mentioned, a 10% discount is applied to all pre-orders.
The digital versions are being offered through a Standard Edition and Deluxe Edition. The Deluxe Edition in particular has the base game along with the Special Weapon & Accessory Pack, Cobun Pack, and Supplies Set. For both editions, there's also an early purchase bonus is the Legendary weapon "Spirit Sword Banbansord."
Tokyo Game Show
The studio also mentioned that RATATAN is going to be at the Tokyo Game Show 2026. The exhibit is at the GSE booth (Hall 2 / Booth: 02-N02).
The booth features demo stations where visitors can be among the first to experience the game. There are also exclusive novelties given away after playing. Meanwhile, players who manage to complete specific "conditions" at the booth can receive a randomized "Limited Edition RATATAN ID Card."
RATATAN is a rhythm roguelike action game that features rhythm games and combines it with side-scrolling action. It offers online co-op gameplay supporting up to 4 players.
The game is set in an island called as "Rataport." The island has strange animal-like creature called Ratatan that lives happily with their friends. While they may have different appearances and personalities, the creatures share a common dream. That dream is to go to "The Everafter" and meet "The Goddess." The Ratatans being a journey to The Everafter and no matter how many times they fail, they never give up and dreamt of meeting The Goddess one day.
For the PC, RATATAN is available on Steam now.
