Developer Death Kumiai announced that pre-orders for the Original Soundtrack of Annihilated are now available. It features 27 tracks composed by NINOMIYA Yuji.
The music of the OST is infused with reverence for the golden age of 90s JRPG music that first inspired the composer. It echoes the game's evocative yet darker fantasy world. Players are sure to love the delicate piano lines and instrumentation that shift floor by floor through the dungeon bringing its world to life.
The soundtrack also adopts what's also known as the "suite" form, which is one of NINOMIYA's signature approaches. When played in order, the album becomes a single continuous work as it traces the journey from the dungeon's deepest depths back up to the surface. According to the studio, the music exists because it was made for the game and the game alone.
In addition to the 27 tracks, the soundtrack comes in a pressed CD that's in a Jewel Case specification. It also has an eight-page behind-the-scenes booklet (in Japanese) along with the exclusive cover jacket & CD label art.
Going back to the tracks, it offers approximately 74 minutes and the titles are:
- Before the Fall
- In Silence
- Unchosen
