Dynasty Warriors: Origins is all set to be released on January 17. For those who can't wait, there's a way to get advanced access to the game. All they need to do is pre-purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition.
Priced at $89.99, it allows owners to play the game three days ahead of the full release. Just in case you want to know the exact date, that's tomorrow, January 14. In addition to base game and advanced access, owners can also get the digital edition of the Official Book. This one has original illustrations of major events in the Three Kingdoms period. There is also the never-before-seen information about characters and charts which depict their relationships to one another, though it's all centered around the grand story of the new Dynasty Warriors that's told from the perspective of a single protagonist.
Included in the Digital Deluxe Edition as well as the Original Soundtrack which comes with 20 original tracks arranged for this title. There are also Letters that provide gold and allow players to buy various things like weapons and portable items, and pyroxene for creating gems.
Play the Demo
For those not yet sure if the game is for them, they can check out the demo version that's available on Steam. The demo has players experience a new side of the "Battle of Sishui Gate" where they have to fight against large forces and powerful enemies.
A Different Perspective
Dynasty Warriors: Origins takes place in the Three Kingdoms, which is a famous time period of ancient China that has been played out as a dramatic ensemble masterpiece. While the setting is indeed something that has been used by a lot of video games, this title does something unique by introducing an original protagonist that becomes part of the dramatic Three Kingdoms tale. This new character plays an active role while at the same time give players first-hand experience in the world of ancient China.
Players get to make different choices as the protagonist. However, he too has a secret that can impact the Three Kingdoms story. While the protagonist serves as the alter ego of the player, he is also one of the figures who helps weave the story. It is through the existence of this character that the game is able to show a Three Kingdoms that has never been seen before.
