Journey Record
is set to offer a new kind of RPG when it comes out on Steam. At first look, it may appear to be a retro 2D RPG game but it's actually an action RPG. That's because the game has what's known as a Magic Eye Camera and Crystals which allow players to swap between seeing the world in either 2D or 3D.
The game focuses on a girl who has lost her vision. With her is her best friend, who is a cat having a Magic Eye Camera. With the help of the camera's lens, she is able to see the world. There are also Crystals that when used can help her look at the world through different perspectives and get to learn about the truths of the world.

Key features of the game to look forward to which include:

- Enjoy puzzle-like stages where changing the perception of the world can reveal new paths and secrets.
- Fight in challenging battles where players have to utilize perspective-switching to gain an upper hand.

In terms of the system requirements, not much has been revealed yet except that the OS is Windows 10 and storage is at least 2 GB available space. More details are expected to be revealed soon.
Talking about the game, developer Shizu Kano Umo shared that the idea for the game started five years ago when he was playing a game and wanted to go to the place seen in the background. He added that the game has actually undergone a lot of changes like being changed from a pure RPG to becoming an action RPG. Regardless, he revealed that he’s happy with the results.
