Launch Details
Witchbrook is being priced at $24.99 when launched. It's going to be playable in English, French, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
In a post, the studio shared that they're currently working on a physical Standard + Collector’s Edition. It's planned to be released a little while after the initial digital release. According to the studio, this is to avoid having an impact on the release schedule and make sure that they're truly special especially for the physical media collectors. A formal physical edition announcement is planned to be communicated at a later date.
Witchbrook invites players to enroll as a witch-in-training at Witchbrook College, located in the bustling seaside town of Mossport. They get to attend classes and complete assignments in Alchemy, Astrology, Tarot, Rituals. Players have to expand their magical knowledge, study hard to pass exams, and unlock spells on the path to graduation. Between lessons they can forge friendships and maybe even find romance among a colorful cast of characters.
It’s not all academic as players are also given the chance to start their very own witch business. As it turns out, the townsfolk of Mossport actually need goods and services that only a witch can provide. Players can use the skills they learned in class to craft wares, fulfil orders, and then deliver them. They also have to build good relationships with customers to earn business perks and maybe even bag some neat rewards. To start things off, players have to set up a stall at the Sunday market, strike deals with locals, and cement their status as a certified business witch. With this, funding their studies is a cinch.
Witchbrook is releasing January 28, 2027, and to be available for the PC via Steam along with consoles PlayStation 5, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and the Nintendo Switch 2.
