It looks like it's time to return to the Kharidian desert and once again face its scorching heat. That's because the second quest in the Return to the Desert storyline is now available in RuneScape. The only catch is that "Pharaoh’s Folly" is available for RuneScape Members.
Members are players who have paid subscriptions or redeemed bonds and in return get access to the full version of RuneScape. This membership was introduced as a way for Jagex to cover the costs of operating the game. As an added benefit, they have many more privileges and usable features in the game as well as on the RuneScape website.
The Threat of Osma
In this new content, the story follows the shifting of the sands in Gielinor and the Golden City of Menaphos. After the brutal betrayal of Osman when he attacked his own people, it resulted in Menaphos becoming divided. As Amascut’s influence lurks in the shadows, it seems like Osman’s motives have become even more sinister. It's time to put an end to his evil ways but to do that it's important to first escape the treacherous Shifting Tombs.
Players get to team up with Leela along with familiar faces and even furry friends. This is all to discover the long-lost secrets of Menaphos. As tensions ise and The Golden City crumbles from within, what is clear is that Menaphos is never going to be the same.
Be Part of the Adventure
To be part of this new adventure in RuneScape, players need to be at least Slayer skill level 87. They also need to have finished the first quest in the Return to the Desert storyline "Beneath Scabaras' Sands." That's not all as players need to have obtained different requirements to complete the Do no Evil quest in "Phite Club" and built the fort buildings required to complete the "Fort Forinthry Storyline."
Players able to prove themselves worthy get the chance to speak to Leela outside the gates of Menaphos and after that rally the city and change the fate of the desert forever.
Enjoy the Rewards
Those who can complete Pharaoh’s Folly get to earn new rewards that include Thieving and Agility XP and "The Rabble-Rouser" title. There's also the new Bracelet known as "Leela’s Favour." This one allows players to teleport to all districts of Menaphos, including the Sophanem slayer dungeon, shifting tombs, and all active soul obelisks.
RuneScape is available now on PC via Steam as well as mobile platforms through iOS, and Android.
