Ubisoft announced that registration for the Survivors Test Program of Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is now open. This is to give those interested the chance to test the game and shape the experience.
The Division 2: Survivors is a winter survival experience that's set in a transformed Washington, D.C. This is an area where the environment can be just as dangerous as the enemies you encounter. What makes this experience challenging is that each run can play out differently. This is because various factors like weather, time of day, loot, routes, and even extraction points, can change between sessions/ In addition, players can decide whether they want to play with PvP enabled or focus on PvE.
Survivors is inspired from the original Survival mode of The Division. However, it is being developed as its own experience like having more flexibility around how long and challenging a run can become. In a post, the studio revealed that Survivors remain to be a work in progress and this is why they want to put it more into the hands of the players and receive much needed feedback.
For the upcoming test, the studio is looking for players who:
- Can participate on PC.
- Are comfortable playing a work-in-progress build that may continue to have bugs or rough edges.
- Are comfortable communicating in English, as test information and feedback is being handled in English.
- Are willing to share feedback and help improve Survivors.
For those who are interested in joining the test, they don't actually need to own The Division 2. The studio did remind everyone that while signing up gives players a chance to participate, it's not a guarantee to be actually selected for a test. For those selected, they'll be contacted by email with everything they need to know joining the test. Meanwhile, for those who don't receive an invite this time around, there’s no need to register again. That's because they'll remain in the registration pool and may be selected for a future Survivors test.

Tom Clancy's The Division 2 is an online-only action role-playing that serves as the sequel to Tom Clancy's The Division. It's set in a near-future Washington, D.C., experiencing the aftermath of the release of a genetically engineered virus known as "Green Poison." The Division 2 follows an agent of the Strategic Homeland Division as they try to rebuild the city. In addition to being a third-person shooter, the game also has elements of RPGs along with cooperative and player-versus-player online multiplayer modes.
