Developer Death Kumiai and publisher Flashlight Games announced Annihilated is releasing on November 10. This story-driven roguelite RPG features a journey through the depths with a broken hero.
Release Postponement
The game was initially set to launch back in July 22. However, a few weeks before that the studio revealed in a post that they were delaying the release of Annihilated to the fourth quarter of 2026.
At that time, the development of the game was in its final stages and the development team had been polishing the game towards the original July release. However, it turned out the team needed additional time work on the final adjustments. In particular, they had to refine the overall game feel while also fine-tuning the battle balance for a smoother experience. This should ensure that the studio would deliver the game at the level of quality it deserves.
Demo Available
While waiting for the release, players can check out what the game offers with the demo. It offers an updated version and since it's closer to the full release, there are improvements to game balance, UI, and music.
The demo has players play through the first boss, The Outcast, with all four partner characters from the full game. That's not all since those able to clear the demo get to unlock a teaser which offers a brief glimpse of the full game. This teaser is exclusive to the demo.
Those able to save upon clearing the demo can look forward to being able to carry their data over to the full game. Any additional updates leading up to launch are being shared on the Steam store page and the official X account.
The Last Survivor
Annihilated puts players in the role of the last survivor of a rescue party. This party has been sent after the hero's party, who went missing deep in a cursed dungeon. Then once they reach the party members, they realize that the Hero has lost the ability to speak, the Mage has lost the gift of magic, the Warrior has lost his mighty body, and the Priest who also lost something. The catch is that players can only carry one of them out. Choose a partner and then escape together.
