A new update has been released for RuneScape: Dragonwilds. One of the new features that players are sure to love is the introduction of the "Jump Attack."
While it's not really called that, it does what one would think it does. Specifically, the update unlocks the Skill Tree perk called "Death From Above!" How it works is that any time players are slightly above the max height of the double jump's arc from the ground, inputting an attack results in the players plunging downward to slam into unfortunate victims below. The damage scales with the weapon equipped. That means players need to be holding something hefty before they leap.

Other changes include adding the Ranged skill perk called Ammo Recovery. It gives players a chance to recover arrows from the bodies of dead enemies. It also has a Greater version later in the Skill Tree called Greater Ammo Recovery.
Another big change is that ranged weapon subclasses now have their own special attack variants. It should make them feel more aligned with the fantasy of using the Shortbow, Longbow or Crossbow. These include:
- Shortbow: Rapid Fire - Hop backwards and fire off three arrows in quick succession. The target can be switched between this volley of shots to spread the damage.
- Longbow: Power Shot - take a knee to draw an arrow at full strength. Let fly to loose a staggering, enormously powerful shot at great distance.
- Crossbow: Heavy Bolt - rack a bolt and let it fly after a short charge. Hits like Asgarnian Ale on an empty stomach, and applies Enchanted effects on-hit.
The new update for RuneScape: Dragonwilds also introduces the Low Blow Skill Perk where ranged attacks that hit the enemy in the legs apply "Hamstrung." This effect reduces enemy movement speed for a short while. Tiny and Colossal Enemies though are immune to this.
RuneScape: Dragonwilds is set in the forgotten continent of Ashenfall and a time where dragons have awoken. To survive against the threat of the Dragons, players need to level up and arm themselves before facing these threats. They'll have to follow the trail of destruction and uncover the mysteries of the continent in order to learn not only how to confront the dragons but more importantly how to overcome them. RuneScape: Dragonwilds is now on Steam Early Access.
