Season of the Banner Arrives to New World: Aeternum on July 29

Amazon Games Season 9 of New World: Aeternum is the Season of the Banner. There's a lot of new content to look forward to and the highlight is Capture the Flag. This PvP game mode has players form teams and go against another in fast-paced and objective-driven battles.

When Capture the Flag makes its full debut, it introduces two maps, Frozen Pass and Forbidden City. It's going to be in a 50/50 rotation. Players can expect classic flag-capturing chaos but with a New World: Aeternum twist.

Seasonal Event

Season 9 sees the return of the Summer Medleyfaire to Aeternum. For those new to the game, this seasonal favorite transforms settlements into festival hubs that's filled with music, fishing, and festive rewards.

Players can look forward to participating in:

Musical Performances

• Team up with friends or go solo using the in-game rhythm mini-game.

• New songs and rewards may be available in Season 9.

Fishing for Fame

• Catch rare fish, complete fishing-related tasks, and exchange them for exclusive cosmetics and furnishings.

Event Tokens and Rewards

• Complete daily and weekly Medleyfaire tasks to earn Summer Tokens, used to purchase unique skins, emotes, housing items, and consumables from event vendors.

New Updates

When Season 9 launches, there are some updates to be introduced. One of these is the Anti-Grouping Curse. How it works is that when players stay too close to other players in free-for-all, they'll start accumulating a debuff that reduces outgoing damage and increases damage taken.

Players can look forward to improvements in the rewards. There's going to be faster chest interactions and increased doubloon drops. There's also the increase on the max gearscore on doubloon shop items.

The store is also set to be updated with new skins and cosmetics rolling out across July, August, and September. There are also seasonal flair and returning fan favorites.
